Everything was bad, from service to food and drink. We had a reservation but were kept waiting while the rude hostess lied and said our table was being bused â?? for 30 minutes. After complaining to a manager, we were finally seated at a table that had been set the whole time. We asked for the cocktail menu and were given an empty menu holder. We asked again. The waiter then told us there was no cocktail menu because it was being rewritten because ½ the things they used to serve they donâ??t serve anymore (??). So scratch the cocktails. I ordered iced tea. No iced tea. Food was mediocre and it looked as if thrown on the plates by a 2 year old. The attitude seemed to be that the all the problems we experienced were just our bad luck. Long wait? â??Oh well.â?? Lying hostess? â??Hmm.â?? Canâ??t get cocktails? â??Tsk tsk.â?? No iced tea? â??Thatâ??s strange.â?? Mushy food? â??Too bad.â?? The experience was such a disappointment; we really wanted to like the restaurant and its support for farmers.

it is very nice and will add to the development of this triangle. the only negative part which is why we didn't want to buy in it is that it's on ny avenue and you'd have to cross this huge avenue in order to go towards the heart of the triangle and on to chinatown, penn quarter.

this is and will be in the very short term a great area. it's close to union . station, museums (gallery museum for example). you don't have to wait 15 years for the area to go up. plus, why not be in the very building that anchors the entire development of the area? supermarket, starbucks, retail shops, restaurants, right on the ground floor. while you wait for the area to be truly safe, you have a private park for your kids to play in.

i looked at this project. it might be near dcusa but the immediate surroundings are quite tattered. You will be surrounded by boarded up tenements and drug dealers in broad daylight. Graffiti glorifying communism and revolution is everywhere.the area will be nice in about 15 years but not in the near future.

I agree it is one of the best new places in Rockville... The staff is great and the managment makes you feel like you are coming to YOUR restaurant every time you walk in. There great!

I saw no signs of racism. Sushi was worth the wait and the service was great from the hostess to the server to the owner who came over and talked to us.

Also curious about problems that you've had. I actually know a few people at the Alta, and both of them love the building and have only reported a few minor problems.

The place could be so much better. This is just like any other club in DC. An amazing first week/grand opening then people move on to the next flavor of the week. The crowd was mixed, ith lots of dudes which isn't good. Three fights took place inside as well. The hip-hop room was packed until they switched over to Salsa for some odd reason around 1 AM. This place looks like it could be a really great venue, but tonight it was only ok. The people that were here tonight are the same people you see at every trendy place. boring....
