How do I view the voting history of a place?
1. What is this site?
theCityList is a user powered service for ranking places within a city. Who has the best pizza? Where is the best Happy Hour on a Tueday night? Our lists are generated by users voting for or against their favorite [or least favorite] places. We have hundreds of lists and update them weekly.
2. Who submits places?
All of the places listed on theCityList are submitted by our community, descriptions of places can be edited by anyone. Users may also view the voting history for each place, comment and discuss places, and add our lists to their web site.
3. How do I vote?
Make sure you have registered a new account (login if you already have an account). Once logged in, hover over the up arrow (or down arrow) next to the place name. Clicking your left mouse button will record your vote.
4. How do I submit a place
Navigate to the category you would like to submit the place for. There is a complete category list link at the footer of each page. Click 'submit a place' in the top right corner (link also appear at the bottom of the page). Search for the place first, to make sure we don't already have it in our database. If we already have the place in our database, select it, and it will be added to the category. If you can't find the place, fill in the necessary information and the place will be added to our system instantly.
5. I have an idea for a new feature or category, what do I do?
We're always open to new ideas for categories, please feel free to email us your suggestion.
6. How often are the lists updated?
The lists are updated in real-time.
7. How do I add a list to my web site?
Navigate to the category that interests you, click "Add List to Web Site" at the bottom of the screen. Follow the instructions for adding the list to your site.
8. How often can I vote
You may only vote once (for or against) a place once per week. We allow you to vote once per week since trends change, and places become in and out of vogue.
9. How do I view the voting history of a place?
Click on the place name, at the bottom of the page you'll see a link to view the voting history for the place
